Richard Buxton’s firm adds institutional sales chief

The asset manager shortly to be known as Merian Global Investors, which is led by the well-known UK fund manager Richard Buxton, has recruited a head salesman for its “growing” business selling to pension funds and similar big investors.

Martin Visairas, head of global capital introductions at the investment bank Citi, will re-join Buxton’s firm on August 22. He previously worked at the fund manager between 2009 and 2010, before leaving for the US bank.
