Buyout firms call for change in stock exchange listing rules

The UK's Financial Services Authority is under pressure from buyout firms to change listing rules or risk losing private equity flotations worth billions of euros to rival foreign stock exchanges.

Investment banks and law firms are working on a series of possible listed vehicles for private equity clients for launch this year. Texas Pacific Group, CVC Capital Partners and Apax are three firms understood to be considering a listing, according to industry sources. All declined to speak or were unavailable for comment.
