Calpers' Anson warns of private equity bubble

The booming US private equity market could be heading for a crash as interest rates rise and hedge funds begin competing directly with buy-out managers, according to Mark Anson, chief investment officer at Calpers, the largest US pension fund.

"The biggest bubble, I'm afraid of at the moment is private equity," Anson told delegates at a fund management conference in Geneva.
