Calpers assets hit record $190bn

Calpers, the largest US pension fund, made returns of 12.7% on its investments in the past year, led by its portfolio of real estate and private equity investments. Assets under management reached a record $189.8bn (€157.3bn).

It was the second straight year that the California state worker's pension fund achieved double-digit returns.
