The California Public Employees' Retirement System (Calpers) is using the online fund manager search services offered by InvestorForce to identify a strategic investment partner for its $1bn (€1,093m) hedge fund programme.
Michael Flaherman, chair of the Calpers investment committee, said: "We are searching for a quality investment partner that will help us build relationships with top hedge fund managers." The strategic partner will have extensive contacts in the hedge fund industry and stong due diligence capabilities. InvestorForce is conducting the competitive search process online.
