Gilles de Dumast, former managing director and head of global corporate finance at Deutsche Bank in France, is reported to be favourite to replace David Villeneuve, global head of investment banking at Calyon, who quit earlier this week.

Dumast is understood to be in discussions with the board at Calyon about the position, according to French daily Les Echos, citing sources close to the bank.
