The Italian Government has appointed Calyon Italy to sell Cirio's majority 39.9% stake in Del Monte Pacific, one of the largest pineapple producers in the world.
Cirio, a food group, is in extraordinary administration. Last year, the Italian government appointed three commissioners to dispose of the company's assets. Â
