Calyon yesterday arranged its first syndicated bond for Telecom Italia, a €1.34bn ($1.73bn) two part deal. BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and HSBC were co-arrangers.
The deal comprised euro and sterling tranches. The €750m eight year bond was priced at 70 basis points over mid-swaps, at the bottom end of price guidance of 70 to 73 basis points over. The £400m (€587m) 17 year bond pays 130 basis points over Gilts.
