Columbia's Fleming flits to Aberdeen Asset Management

Aberdeen picks Columbia Threadneedle's CEO in Europe as its successor to distribution chief John Brett, who stepped down last year

Aberdeen Asset Management has appointed Columbia Threadneedle's European chief executive as its head of distribution – filling a gap that has been vacant since the departure of John Brett in 2015.

Campbell Fleming will take responsibility for Aberdeen's global distribution platform, which employs 450 people. Fleming will report to Aberdeen's chief executive Martin Gilbert and will join the group management board.
