Duncan Campbell-Smith, senior vice-president of Pearson Education, has left the publishing company to join the Maitland Consultancy, a strategic corporate and financial communications consultancy.

Campbell-Smith, well known for his work at the The Economist and as the Lex columnist for the Financial Times has been at Pearson Education since joining in 1994 as a director of public affairs.
