Canary Wharf workers test positive for Covid after rapid test site open

Canary Wharf workers tested positive at the new testing centre but had come into the office without knowing they had the virus

Canary Wharf workers were sent home after testing positive for Covid, within days of the financial district launching a rapid testing centre for the virus, Financial News can reveal.

The Canary Wharf Group,  the real estate company which develops, manages and owns interests in around 7.5 million square feet of office in the capital, namely the London docklands financial services hub, announced on 4 February that it had launched a new test centre, providing Covid tests which produce results in 30 minutes, to workers coming into Canary Wharf during the pandemic lockdown.
