The CPP Investment Board has appointed Candover Partners and Coller Capital, the UK-based private equity firms, to manage private equity investments worth C$140m (€100m) and C$120m, respectively.
The board invests money for the Canada Pension Plan (CPP), which is administered by the Canadian federal government. The CPP started transferring sums to the board three years ago. By the end of 2001, total assets under management had reached C$14bn. The board expects to be managing C$130bn by 2011.
