Candover disposes of Claverham

Candover, the UK venture capital firm, has agreed to sell Claverham, the defence and aerospace engineering business, in a deal estimated at £100m (€160m).

Philip Symonds, a director at Candover, said: &quotClaverham has been a very successful investment for Candover, returning around two times our original investment. Since the buyout in 1998, the company has made good progress with sales and profits growing more than 40%.&quot
