Cantor Fitzgerald, the inter-dealer broker, has hired Dan Davies as senior vice-president in sales and trading to its institutional equities group in London.

Davies joins after one year with Lansdowne Partners, the London-based hedge fund, where he was head of trading. It is not known who Landsdowne has found to fill the position.
