The £606m (€986m) 3M pension scheme has appointed investment managers Capital International and Deutsche Asset Management to run specialist mandates as part of its new investment structure.

3M is a global industrial, commercial, healthcare and consumer products manufacturing company. Its UK pension scheme tendered three active specialist portfolios following recommendations from consultant William M Mercer, who held an asset allocation review last year.
