The Carlyle Group, the global private equity firm, has hired Gene Greiner and Maurice Martin to boost its European software team, which invests from the firm's €732m ($714m) European venture fund.
Greiner will be a director of Carlyle Europe Venture Partners. At Carlyle, he will focus on investments in companies in the information technology and software industries. He was previously president of Asera Europe, the software company, which raised $165m (€169m) over three financing rounds and grew from 50 staff to 350.
