Carlyle hires telecoms executive for restructuring push

The Carlyle Group has brought in Duncan Lewis, former chief executive of telecommunications companies GTS and Equant, with the brief of boosting the firm's presence in the telecom restructuring business.

Lewis, who will work with Carlyle as a senior adviser two days a week, believes that the wave of telecom restructuring, which begain two years ago, still has some way to go.
