The Carlyle Group has broadened its senior ranks with 16 promotions to managing director level across its global offices, including eight in the US and five in Europe.

In New York, Eliot Merrill and Stephen Owens have been promoted in the buyout business, while Michael Stewart of Carlyle Strategic Partners has also gained seniority.
