Carlyle tech fund gets stake in Czech language translation software provider

Memsource’s management team, including founder and CEO David Canek, will remain as shareholders in the business

Carlyle has acquired a majority stake in language translation software provider Memsource, for an undisclosed sum.

Equity for the deal came from Carlyle Europe Technology Partners IV fund, which typically invests €30m to €80m in lower mid-market technology companies with enterprise values ranging from €40m to €250m. The fund closed in 2019 raising €1.35bn in capital.
