CBOE adds to equity index contracts

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) is further expanding its family of equity index options, in what appears to be an effort to see off the growing competition posed by the exchange's local rivals.

The CBOE is listing a further 11 equity index contracts during the course of this week, all of which will be based on the Russell family of equity indices. The CBOE currently lists a total of 38 index options.
