CCF gains two HSBC board members

Two senior members of the HSBC board are to join the board of Crédit Commercial de France as a result of the UK bank's successful acquisition of CCF for €11bn ($10.4bn).

William Dalton, chief executive of HSBC Bank, will join the board of CCF along with Stephen Green, currently president of HSBC Investment Bank. Dalton, 56, started his career in banking in Canada with Bank of Montreal in the early 1960s, before joining Wardley Canada, which was subsequently acquired by HSBC. In 1998 he was appointed head of Midland Bank.
