Centerview Partners hiked senior UK banker pay by 92% amid deal boom

It paid £54.3m to eight UK-based partners

Boutique Centerview Partners increased compensation for its top UK bankers by 92% as profits swelled amid a surge in dealmaking.

The investment bank, which works alongside larger rivals on multi-billion dollar M&A deals, paid its key UK personnel £54.3m in the year to 31 March 2022, according to accounts released on Companies House on 4 January, up from £28.2m a year earlier. Centerview has just eight partners in the UK, the numbers show, with each generating an average profit of £6.8m, up from £3.1m in 2021.
