The former CEO of UK Financial Investments, who advised the government on the multibillion-pound bailout of the country's banking industry, has become the latest City heavyweight to land a role on SABMiller's takeover by AB InBev, as the London-based brewer looks to iron out valuation issues.

Robin Budenberg is advising SABMiller for Centerview Partners, where he is London-based chairman, a person close to the deal said.
