Central and Eastern European M&A falls 32% in 2001

Central and Eastern European mergers and acquisitions deal volume dropped by 32% last year, according to research by PricewaterhouseCoopers, reflecting a worldwide decline in M&A activity over the past year.

PwC's annual M&A report includes data on M&A deals in Bulgaria, Romania, Russia and Slovakia for the first time.
