The chief executive and president of CFA Institute has chastised the investment management industry for its lack of female representation, noting that little has changed since she qualified more than 20 years ago.

Speaking at a Financial Newsdinner to honour the 2019 Most Influential Women in Finance on November 27, Margaret Franklin said: “Only 19% of our total membership is female. That is exactly one percentage point more than when I got my charter in 1997. So, in 23 years, we’ve made one percentage point progress.”
