UniCredit has hired the former head of UBS's equity capital markets division in Europe, joining the Italian lender headed by its ex-investment bank chief, Andrea Orcel.

Salvatore “Chicco” Di Stasi, who has led UBS's equity capital markets business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and its strategic equity unit during a 13-year career at the Swiss bank, has joined UniCredit as head of equity and credit sales and trading, according to people familiar with the matter and an internal memo seen by Financial News.
