City leaders across trading, banking, and hedge funds were among the highest UK taxpayers last year.

The Sunday Times Tax List – which ranks the top 100 individuals and families who forked out the most in tax – was topped by Moscow-born Alex Gerko, founder of algorithmic trading platform XTX Markets.
