British Property Developer Buys Billionaires’ Row Penthouse for a Big Discount

British property developer Christian Candy and his wife, Emily Crompton-Candy, are switching up their Manhattan homes, trading a circa-1903 Upper East Side townhouse for a new-construction penthouse on Billionaires’ Row.

The couple have paid about $45 million for a four-bedroom triplex at 111 West 57th Street, one of Midtown’s new supertall condominiums, according to people familiar with the situation. The pair got a significant discount on the unit, which was listed for $66 million in 2020.
