CIBC World Markets has hired Mark Goodman, head of Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown's consumer and business services team, and 12 members from the same US-based team as part of a drive to exploit middle market deals.

CIBC World Markets is the US investment banking division of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Goodman joins CIBC as managing director and will head CIBC's consumer and business services group. He held the same post for the last 12 years at Deutsche Banc.
