Cinven picks Langmuir successor

One of Europe's largest private equity firms names a new managing partner ahead of the launch of its sixth buyout fund

Cinven, one of Europe’s biggest buyout firms, has revealed its succession plan for leader Hugh Langmuir as it nears completion on spending its €5.3 billion fund.

Managing partner Langmuir, 60, will become executive chairman and be replaced by Stuart McAlpine, 48-year old partner at the firm, according to a statement on September 24.
