Citigroup has bought its biggest Belfast office building, marking another large real estate purchase less than a week after it completed a deal to buy its London headquarters in Canary Wharf.

The US bank has closed the acquisition of the Gateway Building, an office in Belfast it opened in 2009, according to a memo sent to staff on April 17 by James Bardrick, Citi’s head in the UK, and Leigh Meyer, Belfast site head, and seen by Financial News.
