Citigroup chief executive Michael Corbat today stressed the years of post-crisis restructuring and streamlining are over for the Wall Street bank, which has "crossed an inflection point" and is on the path to growth.

Addressing the bank's shareholders at Citi's first investor day since 2008, Corbat said: "It has been a while since we have hosted an investor day. Some people have asked why now? We chose this time because we, the management and our board, believe Citi has crossed an inflection point."
