Citi is hiring 100 coders every week during the pandemic — without meeting them

Citi is adding about 2,500 coders to its investment bank this year

Citigroup is hiring up to 100 coders every week as the bank pushes ahead with plans to electronify its markets business and investment bank even as the coronavirus crisis has derailed recruitment across the City.

The US investment bank is adding around 2,500 coders to its investment bank this year, with between 50-100 new staff coming globally each week, according to Stuart Riley, head of technology for Citi’s institutional client group.
