Citi has promoted the co-head of its Emea financial institutions group to serve as its chief country officer in Germany, according to a memo seen by Financial News.

Stefan Wintels will take up the post from the beginning of January, reporting to Zdenek Turek, head for western Europe, and to the global markets board in Germany, chaired by Hans Reich.
