Citi calls in the doctor to plug healthcare gap

US bank moves quickly to replace senior healthcare banker with the appointment of ex-UBS pharmacology specialist

Citigroup has moved quickly to plug a gap at the top of its healthcare group in Europe, with the hire of a banker who left UBS in recent weeks.

Dr Anthony Hartley, previously a managing director in the healthcare team at the Swiss bank, is set to join Citi, according to two people familiar with the matter. A Citi spokeswoman declined to comment.
