The head of Citigroup’s investment bank in Europe is relocating to San Francisco to lead a major new push to capitalise on technological disruption.

Philip Drury, who has been head of banking, capital markets and advisory for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Citigroup for over two years, has been handed a global role leading a new division targeting digital disruption. The unit currently has around 400 bankers attached to it, and is expected to expand.
