Citigroup is gunning for more M&A, will hire more dealmakers in high growth sectors and aims to gain more work from big spending private equity firms, chief executive Jane Fraser said in a sweeping presentation outlining her vision for the bank.

Citi has been targeting rivals for top spots in the investment banking league tables over the past three years, hiring 70 managing director dealmakers globally over that time and will target more deals in technology, healthcare, fintech and financial sponsors, it said on 2 March.
