Citigroup has named a former HSBC executive to lead its corporate bank in Hong Kong in the latest senior appointment at the US lender in the aftermath of its major overhaul.

Matthew Hung has been hired as head of corporate banking for Hong Kong from August. He will take the reins from Joy Cheng, who was promoted to lead Citi’s commercial bank in the region in February.
