Citigroup has put a planned recruitment spree of technologists in Russia on ice, as large investment banks face pressure to review their operations in the country in the wake of its invasion of Ukraine.

The US bank has pulled back from a hiring spree of technology professionals in Russia who work on international projects related to its trading business including commodities and currencies as well as its Citi Velocity client platform.
