Citigroup's Prince sets out defence over Enron deals

Citigroup executives will highlight their efforts to tighten up internal rules on transparency, as the bank defends its dealings with Enron before a US Senate committee on December 11.

Charles Prince, chief executive of Citigroup's global corporate and investment bank, will tell the Senate's permanent sub-committee on investigations that the bank has gone to every effort to bring in new policies for approving transactions.
