Some of the biggest names in fund management have been contacted by MPs over the demise of construction group Carillion, as politicians scrutinise the role of investors in one of the UK's most high-profile corporate collapses in recent years.
Standard Life Aberdeen chief executives Martin Gilbert and Keith Skeoch; BlackRock's global head of financial markets advisory, Charles Hatami; David Nicol, CEO of stockbroker Brewin Dolphin; and Deutsche Bank and UBS chiefs John Cryan and Sergio Ermotti are among those to have been contacted by the UK's Work and Pensions Committee and Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee as part of their joint investigation into Carillion's collpase.
