More than half of donations received by newly-elected Conservative party leader Boris Johnson since May came from those with ties to the financial sector.

According to Financial News analysis of Electoral Commission data, Johnson, who has been voted in as leader of the Conservative party, has received £245,500 in donations since May 24, of which £165,500 came from City hedge fund managers, traders and other executives.
