City companies say Women in Finance Charter is working – beyond just gender

More than 370 businesses are now signed up to the government’s flagship initiative for tackling the City’s lack of gender diversity

A government plan to increase the number of women at the top of UK financial services has stirred City boardrooms into adopting new approaches for improving diversity in the broadest terms.

A wide-ranging survey on the impact of the Women in Finance Charter has found the most commonly cited benefit by signatories to be the discussions now taking place around gender diversity at the highest levels of banks, fund managers and insurers.
