City fund managers flock to Dublin as pandemic-weary Irish ‘keen to move back’

Irish citizens in London are increasingly scoping out Dublin-based jobs, with the pandemic prompting soul-searching among finance workers to re-evaluate their careers.

And the jobs are there, thanks to Brexit. A recent report by think tank New Financial found that 45 asset management firms - including Baillie Gifford, Legal & General Investment Management and Vanguard — have set up EU operations in Dublin to enable smooth relations with European investors.
