City lobby group names HSBC’s Tucker as chairman

Former AIA chief executive brings Asian experience to new role at TheCityUK

The chair of HSBC has been appointed to the same role at the lobby group representing the interests of the City, as London battles to retain its place as the top European financial centre after Brexit.

Mark Tucker, who became group chair of the UK bank in September 2017, was named the new chair of TheCityUK on February 11.
