Mark Boleat, a former director general of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, has won the coveted role of policy chair of the City of London Corporation, after being elected to replace outgoing chair Stuart Fraser.

Boleat has spent the last three years as deputy chairman of the group and was chairman of the City of London Corporation's markets committee from 2008 to 2011.
