City veteran Sir Win Bischoff dies aged 81

Bischoff also served as chairman of the UK Financial Reporting Council between 2014 and 2019 and sat on the boards of 10 major listed companies – five of them in the UK

Sir Win Bischoff, one of the City’s most prominent figures, has died.

Bischoff, who was 81, was a former chair of Lloyds Banking Group and served as chief executive of UK-listed asset manager Schroders, where he landed the top job aged 42.
