Finance executives are among the co-investors in a start-up that provides peer-to-peer finance for small businesses by connecting them with institutional investors and high net worth individuals.

London's latest marketplace lender Growth Street has raised £5 million from a consortium comprising City veterans and tech venture capital firm Arts Alliance Ventures, whose investments have included LoveFilm, Shazam, Graze.com and lastminute.com.
