City votes not to support second Brexit referendum

City of London Corporation decides against motion, with 61 opposed to another referendum and 30 in support of it

The City of London Corporation, the governing body for the UK’s financial heartland, has said it will not support another referendum on the country’s membership of the European Union.

The corporation’s 100-person Court of Common Council held an hour-long debate on a motion for it to support a campaign to hold a second Brexit vote.
