City’s Asia adviser Madera moves to Refinitiv

City of London Corporation’s ambassador to China, India and Singapore heads to financial data company

Sherry Madera, a former diplomat who has spent the past two years as the Square Mile’s top representative in Asia, has quit that post to take up a government-affairs role at Refinitiv.

Madera has joined as global head of industry and government affairs at the financial-data business spun out of Thomson Reuters last year. Its chief executive, David Craig, said her role will be to advise the company's clients on “technology, sustainability, governance and regulation”.
